We've Been Featured as "Mitzvah Planning Experts" by FAB*Blog!

We are so excited to have been selected by FAB*Blog as their featured interview this week! Here's a snippet of the blog entry. To read the full blog posting, please visit FAB*blog!

Today, I am excited to bring you an interview with Laura Cohn and Debbie Mintzer from Party Perfect, based in Orlando, Florida. These ladies are pros at creating truly unforgettable Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. From pre-planning to reception, and everywhere in between, they've got it all covered and it's sure to be a wonderfully special event. They had lots to tell us about Mitzvah planning and how they go about making each party perfect!

Personalization: Do your clients often come to you with their own theme or ideas? What’s the most important element of the party to them- the food, the music, the venue? Most often, our clients do have an idea of their own theme, but sometimes they look to us for guidance on the best and most cost-effective ways to incorporate this theme into their event. Personalizing and branding the Bar/Bat Mitzvah is what we feel is our specialty. We create a party logo for our clients that we carry throughout the party: custom menus, DJ splash screens, place cards, favors, signage, and so many other details that make the party extra special and help convey the party theme.

Invitations: How do you choose them and what are important things to remember about invites? We look for an invitation that is unique and represents the individual style, color, and thematic elements of the event. For Mitzvahs, this presents a challenge, because there are so many unique elements to a Mitzvah invitation (the religious service invitation, the party invitation, info for kids vs. adults, RSVP, etc).

Of course, there is extra excitement in the air today because the Project Runway premiere is tonight as well! Please check it out, along with all the other wonderful parties featured at The Creative Party Place.

Here's what they had to say:

This Project Runway Birthday Party was originally hosted by Laura over at Mitzvah-licious.

I LOVE Project Runway so as soon as I opened up this post and saw this party....I was in LOVE! What a SUPER CLEVER theme idea! So many ideas start spinning in my head with this one, and apparently they did for Laura too! She has a ton of amazing ideas and she pulled the whole party together so nicely. I'm really loving the idea of the newpaper fashions! So FIERCE!

It's also perfect timing since the new season of Project Runway starts TONIGHT on Lifetime!!

Sports Logos

With the Superbowl coming up this Sunday, my thoughts are focusing on sports logos! If you are having a sports-themed Bar/Bat Mitzvah, you can't afford to miss a wonderful website, Chris Creamer's Sports Logos, which provides every imaginable sports logo absolutely free! You can use these logos on placecards, centerpieces, signage, favors, etc...

Here's an example of what you can do to personalize a sports logo:

Great DIY Videos

If you are crafty and want to try to make your own centerpieces, the people at ABNC Parties have put some very helpful DIY videos up on YouTube! I watched them all, and they are very clear and easy to follow. After watching the metallic poof video, I am convinced that I MUST buy a pick machine (I didn't even know they existed!). They also sell the supplies to make your own centerpieces, and much more. Check out their website to see all they have to offer!:

Seating Plan Software: Perfect Table Plan

If you are struggling with how to keep Aunt Ethel away from Uncle Bernie, but still keep Grandma Mae with all of her sisters at the same table, then you should take a look at Perfect Table Plan. This software looks like a great tool to help with organizing your seating arrangements for your Bar/Bat Mitzvah. You enter your guest list, indicate who wants to sit next to whom, who CAN'T sit next to whom, etc. Then set up your floor plan with your tables (choose how many seats at each table and choose table shape). Arrange your floorplan--then you can either assign tables yourself, or the program can auto-assign based on your previously entered indications.  It will show you the distribution of males/females (blue/pink), kids/adults, and so much more. It prints out beautifully to give to your caterer, and it can even print out your place cards, address labels, etc.  It costs $35 to buy, but the trial version is free (you just can't print from it, or add more than 30 guests). This is definitely a must-see! Check it out and make your life easier!
