Bar Mitzvah hotel boxes

We recently created these adorable out-of-towner boxes for a green/white/black themed Bar Mitzvah. We created an itinerary of events, along with directions to the temple, reception locale, etc. We also made personalized water bottles and pistachio nut packets, each coordinating with the theme colors. These items, along with other snacks, were neatly packed into a glossy black gable box, tied with black and white grosgrain ribbon. All the guests loved them!

Nutty Favors or Treats

While working on assembling some hotel boxes for a client's out-of-town guests, I was looking for some personalized items to put inside. Problem: budget of only $10/box!!  So I purchased a $10 bag of pistachios from Costco, then divided the bag among 25 small cellophane bags. I created a 3 inch wide by 2 inch high tag for the nuts out of card stock. Simply fold the tag in half, and staple to the cellophane bag. How cute! A very inexpensive way to make an expensive looking personalized item for your guests!

Out-of-Towner Welcome Boxes

If you have friends and relatives coming in from out of town to attend your Bar or Bat Mitzvah, it is a thoughtful gesture to deliver a little bag of goodies to welcome them! Enlist a friend to deliver these to the hotels for you the day that your guests arrive. I just made up one for an upcoming event, and I'm so pleased with the way it turned out! This is a white gable box, tied with ribbon, with a label on the front and a tag on the top with the guest's name on it... So cute!

Latke Crisps

I read about Latke Crisps in this month's issue of EveryDay with Rachael Ray magazine... It looks like they are a snack chip that tastes like a latke!  With Hanukkah coming up, I thought it deserved a mention! For all you with Bar/Bat Mitzvahs coming up around Hanukkah-time, wouldn't these be a cute addition to your party or out-of-towner bags? I haven't gotten to taste them yet, but I bet they would be great dipped in applesauce!

Personalized Kleenex Boxes

mykleenex.gifThe people at Kleenex have really come up with something unique: you can personalize your own Kleenex boxes! Their super-cool interface at Mykleenextissue.com allows you to add your digital photos, clip art, and text to your box design. Wouldn't these be an amazing addition to an out-of-towner bag? You could actually personalize each box individually for each guest. Aunt Gertrude's tissue box could say "Aunt Gertrude: The fact that you came to my Bat Mitzvah is nothing to sneeze at! We're glad you're here to celebrate with me!" They cost about $5.00/box.  Even if you don't order, you have to play with their website and see how it creates a rotating 3-D preview version of your designed box!
