Video Arcade Themed Candy Buffet

We recently coordinated a super-fun video arcade themed Bar Mitzvah for a very sweet young man. He loved all types of video games, from retro pong and pac-man all the way through to wii games. We had so much fun with his theme! Here's a glimpse of his candy buffet. We created his custom signage to look like a video game on a tv screen (Matthew's Candy Mania). We made a pacman graphic and had it imprinted on these oversized plastic stadium cups, which doubled as candy containers and a take-home favor. Each candy jar label was customized with the individual images from that candy's box, with the Candymania candy buffet logo along the bottom edge. Overall, an exciting and fun effect for this festive candy buffet!

Seed Packet Place Cards

With many of today's kids being very environmentally conscious, here's a new idea to turn your place cards into a eco-friendly gift!  For this fairy-themed party, we happened upon Burpee's Flower Fairies seed packets, which had gorgeous watercolor illustrations on the front of each packet.  We created a custom label to adhere the top of each seed packet for each guest (along with their corresponding table number). Then the seed packets were placed on floral picks and whimsically displayed in a tray of wheat grass which was trimmed with moss. Not only was this a wonderfully unique and beautiful way to direct the guests to their seat, but the place cards also doubled as an eco-friendly party favor! Hopefully, guests planted their flower seeds and will enjoy their blooms for many years to come!

Sports Bar Mitzvah Logo

I often get contacted to design custom logos for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs--what a fun job! Here is a recent custom logo I created for a young man who loves many sports. They were looking for a way to bring all the sports together in a single cohesive theme, with colors of blue and green. Here is the result! This logo will be used on the main signage for the party, as well as the centerpieces and imprinted items. If you need a custom logo design, contact us at laura@partyperfectorlando.com.

"Love Is Sweet" Candy Buffet

We recently had the pleasure of putting together a gorgeous "Love Is Sweet" candy buffet for a wedding. The event took place in historic Casa Feliz in Winter Park, Florida. There was a vintage theme, incorporating hues of brown and lavender... Here are some photos of the display. Many thanks to Root Photography for providing us with the fantastic professional photos! As always, we created custom labels and wrapped a grosgrain ribbon around each glass jar. We made up a lovely vintage "Love Is Sweet" sign, which the bride and groom say they will hang in their home as a memento of their wedding day. We also made altered "Good N Plenty" boxes, by putting the bride and groom's names on the front of the box (with the font and style to match the Good N Plenty logo).

S'mores! A fun dessert option!

Camping-themed mitzvah? Or just want a unique dessert? Bring s'mores indoors and serve them as a tasty gooey treat! You can either have a manned s'mores station as shown below... At one of our events, we had the chef toast the marshmallows with a kitchen blowtorch and then roll the hot marshmallow in chocolate shavings and graham cracker crumbs. Yum!

Or you can simply make these VERY easy s'mores pops as shown by Ali at Gimme Some Oven. She pushed lollipop sticks in the marshmallows, then dipped them in melted chocolate and rolled them in graham cracker crumbs.

These fun desserts will certainly have kids and adults screaming for s'more!

Personalized Name Hanger

A special day and a special dress requires a special hanger, right? Of course, right! So you may want to pick up one of these great hangers from Lilafrances on Etsy. Her silver hangers are custom made and cost $17.50 (but order early because there is a waiting list!). Imagine how gorgeous your Bat Mitzvah dress would look hanging on this! This may be just the thing you want hanging around on your Bat Mitzvah day. And what a great gift!

Chilly? Make a Hot Cocoa Bar at Your Mitzvah!

Brrr! It's freezing here today! Rainy, cold, and yucky... What feels better at this time of year than a nice warm mug of hot cocoa? Wouldn't it be a wonderful and unique addition to a Bar/Bat Mitzvah to have a Hot Cocoa Bar with a whole range of toppings and add-ins to warm everyone up?

Here are some ideas for fun items to add to your hot cocoa bar display:

Mini-marshmallows

Rock candy

Cinnamon

Whipped cream (flavored with a little vanilla or chocolate)

Chopped chocolate or heath bars

Chopped thin mint chocolates, like Andes

Peppermint sticks

Chocolate syrup

Ice cream

Caramel or butterscotch drizzle

Chocolate sprinkles

Cinnamon sticks

What a sweet way to end the perfect mitzvah!

Fabulous Felt Pennant Placecards

If you are planning a sports themed event, check out these fabulous felt pennants we created for a recent football-themed bar mitzvah! I created the party logo design based on the NFL logo--Scott's Superbowl XIII.

This logo was incorporated into the pennant design along with Scott's name. We then sent the design to an promotional imprint company to print the pennants for us. The pennants were then displayed on a tiered stand, and tags with names and table assignments were attached with ribbon to each pennant. Extra pennants were placed in bowls of peanuts for additional decor around the kids area.

The kids and adult guests waved the pennants during Scott's grand entrance, and he was thrilled! Of course the dancers were dressed as referees!

These professional photos were taken by the extremely talented photographer, Jennifer Werneth.
