Do you "Go Nuts" for Donuts?

If you are looking for a fun alternative to a traditional cake, why not donuts? These donut cakes (some people use Krispy Kremes--YUM!) look very cute, and kids love them. If you want to make one yourself, simply buy the cake pedestal tiers at a local restaurant or baking supply store.  Then load them up with your donuts of choice and decorate with flowers, candy, fruit, or whatever you choose. I think it's a very fitting, fun, and appealing dessert for a kid-centered party!
