Sports Bar Mitzvah Logo

I often get contacted to design custom logos for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs--what a fun job! Here is a recent custom logo I created for a young man who loves many sports. They were looking for a way to bring all the sports together in a single cohesive theme, with colors of blue and green. Here is the result! This logo will be used on the main signage for the party, as well as the centerpieces and imprinted items. If you need a custom logo design, contact us at laura@partyperfectorlando.com.

We've Been Featured as "Mitzvah Planning Experts" by FAB*Blog!

We are so excited to have been selected by FAB*Blog as their featured interview this week! Here's a snippet of the blog entry. To read the full blog posting, please visit FAB*blog!

Today, I am excited to bring you an interview with Laura Cohn and Debbie Mintzer from Party Perfect, based in Orlando, Florida. These ladies are pros at creating truly unforgettable Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. From pre-planning to reception, and everywhere in between, they've got it all covered and it's sure to be a wonderfully special event. They had lots to tell us about Mitzvah planning and how they go about making each party perfect!

Personalization: Do your clients often come to you with their own theme or ideas? What’s the most important element of the party to them- the food, the music, the venue? Most often, our clients do have an idea of their own theme, but sometimes they look to us for guidance on the best and most cost-effective ways to incorporate this theme into their event. Personalizing and branding the Bar/Bat Mitzvah is what we feel is our specialty. We create a party logo for our clients that we carry throughout the party: custom menus, DJ splash screens, place cards, favors, signage, and so many other details that make the party extra special and help convey the party theme.

Invitations: How do you choose them and what are important things to remember about invites? We look for an invitation that is unique and represents the individual style, color, and thematic elements of the event. For Mitzvahs, this presents a challenge, because there are so many unique elements to a Mitzvah invitation (the religious service invitation, the party invitation, info for kids vs. adults, RSVP, etc).

Brownie Burgers!

Check out this great new dessert food invention from the Entertaining Company as featured by Style Me Pretty... I love food that looks like other food! Especially when it's dessert!

Assembly of a Brownie Burger

Use pancakes for the “bun”. The brownie is the patty. Condiments for the burger include Pomegranate Jelly (no ketchup on these babies) and White Chocolate (subs for Mayo). But what’s a burger without fries? Shortbread cookies are the obvious stand-in for fries. Very, very modern twist on an age-old favorite!

"Love Is Sweet" Candy Buffet

We recently had the pleasure of putting together a gorgeous "Love Is Sweet" candy buffet for a wedding. The event took place in historic Casa Feliz in Winter Park, Florida. There was a vintage theme, incorporating hues of brown and lavender... Here are some photos of the display. Many thanks to Root Photography for providing us with the fantastic professional photos! As always, we created custom labels and wrapped a grosgrain ribbon around each glass jar. We made up a lovely vintage "Love Is Sweet" sign, which the bride and groom say they will hang in their home as a memento of their wedding day. We also made altered "Good N Plenty" boxes, by putting the bride and groom's names on the front of the box (with the font and style to match the Good N Plenty logo).

S'mores! A fun dessert option!

Camping-themed mitzvah? Or just want a unique dessert? Bring s'mores indoors and serve them as a tasty gooey treat! You can either have a manned s'mores station as shown below... At one of our events, we had the chef toast the marshmallows with a kitchen blowtorch and then roll the hot marshmallow in chocolate shavings and graham cracker crumbs. Yum!

Or you can simply make these VERY easy s'mores pops as shown by Ali at Gimme Some Oven. She pushed lollipop sticks in the marshmallows, then dipped them in melted chocolate and rolled them in graham cracker crumbs.

These fun desserts will certainly have kids and adults screaming for s'more!

Chilly? Make a Hot Cocoa Bar at Your Mitzvah!

Brrr! It's freezing here today! Rainy, cold, and yucky... What feels better at this time of year than a nice warm mug of hot cocoa? Wouldn't it be a wonderful and unique addition to a Bar/Bat Mitzvah to have a Hot Cocoa Bar with a whole range of toppings and add-ins to warm everyone up?

Here are some ideas for fun items to add to your hot cocoa bar display:

Mini-marshmallows

Rock candy

Cinnamon

Whipped cream (flavored with a little vanilla or chocolate)

Chopped chocolate or heath bars

Chopped thin mint chocolates, like Andes

Peppermint sticks

Chocolate syrup

Ice cream

Caramel or butterscotch drizzle

Chocolate sprinkles

Cinnamon sticks

What a sweet way to end the perfect mitzvah!
