Yummy Popcorn Recipe

glitterrazzi_pc.jpgWell, this popcorn recipe doesn't really have anything to do with Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, but it was soooo good, I just had to share it! Someone made it for a snack after a tough tennis match, and it made my sad feelings of tennis failure just melt away. This would be a great Halloween treat as well (maybe add some of those Halloween colored M&M's to the recipe for extra color).

Of course, you could make this for out-of-towner bags as a great treat, so it ties in to Bar/Bat Mitzvahs after all! Put a serving in a cellophane bag and tie it up with some raffia for a nice presentation.

Website: Adapted from the Glitterazzi Popcorn Recipe from JollyTime

You’ll Need:
1 bag popped butter-flavored microwave popcorn (about 10-12 cups)
1 cup salted mixed nuts
½ cup dried cranberries
1 package (12 oz.) white vanilla flavored baking chips
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Here’s How:
1. Pop popcorn according to package directions. Open bag carefully and pour into large bowl; discard unpopped kernels.
2. Add nuts and cranberries to bowl with popcorn; stir well.
3. In microwave oven or double boiler melt chips according to package directions.
4. Pour over popcorn mixture; stir until evenly coated.
5. Spread onto large rimmed baking sheet; sprinkle with cinnamon, stirring to distribute evenly. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.

Yield: 6 servings
