Anatomy of an Out-of-Towner Bag
Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11:27AM I just finished assembling and delivering my friend's out-of-towner bags--they came out cute! See below for details about these bags that coordinate with her adorable pink and green polkadot theme:
Bag stickers from Design-her-gals (print at home subscription)

Bags/tissue from Nashville Wraps
Bags all ready for delivery!
Contents (way too much!!):
Purchased at Costco: mini muffin packs, trail mix packs, candy bars, tic tacs, Pepperidge Farm cookie packs, Special K cereal bars, water bottles, dried fruit packs
Local Jewish newspaper with Bat Mitzvah announcement
Chocolate photo lollipop
Bow made with EZ Bow Maker (bought with discount coupon at Michaels) (instruction sheet from manufacturer). I made a floral bow with 2 loops on each side and long streamers to tie around the bag handles.
Mini-challah from local Jewish bakery
Maps to all events of the weekend

This is a wonderful post...and reminder! These are such a perfect and thoughtful touch to any event when you have out-of-towners coming! I remember creating these with my aunt during my Bat Mitzvah, and then again with my sister and now husband for my ceremony. They are an unexpected treat that, no matter what you include, makes your friend or relative feel extra welcome and extra special! Thanks for posting this! :)
Where did these bags come from? They are so cute. Could you post a link? I just signed up for a year of DesignHerGals, so we can create those cute labels too. What a great idea!
Sure! The bags are from Nashville Wraps. Here is the direct link: frosted polka dot bags.
