Personalized Playing Cards
Sunday, October 21, 2007 at 11:57PM Want a party favor that is guaranteed to be a big "deal"? How about a custom set of playing cards, with your own custom graphic printed on the back of each card? A favor like this would normally be cost prohibitive (sometimes over $10/deck), but Aaron Sack's company, You're On Deck, makes them affordable by offering them for only $4.00/deck for 25 decks, or $3.00/deck for 50 decks (see website for more details on pricing). Aaron is a high school student (see his photo below), who got the idea for his business when his family printed up cards for his brother's Bar Mitzvah (his family owns a printing shop). Soon afterwards, he had an entrepreneurship class, in which he had to come up with a business idea. You're On Deck was born! He then went on to win the NFTE (National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship) regional competition with a prize of $3,000. Since then his business has printed over 12,000 decks of cards! Aaron sent me a sample deck, and I can vouch that they are of high quality. Each deck comes in a clear plastic box, and the backs have a smooth glossy coating. The print quality is exceptional--a very professional looking product. I shuffled them many times, and there is no damage to the cards at all.
So if you are looking for a great favor, give this young man a chance! I think I am actually going to order some for teacher gifts!
